Packing (again)

I feel like a large portion of my life is spent packing at the moment.

Packing to go from London to Lancaster,

Lancaster to London,

Back to Lancaster,

Back to London…

etc.

The next move is back to Lancaster, for my second year of uni… I am intrigued to see what it will bring! I am also nervous… will I be able to cope this year? Will I be able to keep up with all the work? (I’m certain there will be more this year, and last year I struggled to keep up at times!)

There seems to be constant change in my life. Now nowhere really feels like home. I am not anywhere long enough. This summer, home has begun to feel like home again, as I’ve been here nearly 3 months, but now I’m off again, and moving into a new house this time!

Today is a beautiful day, the sky is blue and the sun is shining, and I have to stay inside to pack… I am tempted to go out for a walk, to enjoy the sunshine, seeing as we don’t get much! It’s strange though, a few minutes ago there was a rain shower… it’s like April!

Anyway, back to the point. I’ve got to pack my life up again. It feels strange every time. I’ve never moved house in my memory, so I’ve never done the whole “pack your life up in cardboard boxes and move” thing, until university. I did move house when I was younger, but I was 14 months old, so it’s not surprising that I have no memory of this!

This week is going to be busy busy busy! Today I need to pack as much as possible. Tomorrow I’m heading up to Birmingham with the boyfriend to meet Monkey and her boyfriend. We will be going to see Michael McIntyre in the evening! (Super excited about that!!) Then I have to get a train back after the show, meaning I’ll have to get a night bus home because the tubes will have stopped by the time I get back to London. THEN Thursday morning is the dreaded appointment with the psychiatrist, which I am terrified but also intrigued* about. Then later on Thursday my mum and I will be driving up to the Midlands to see my Nannie, and stay with her overnight before continuing the drive up to Lancaster on Friday morning. On Friday I’ll have to move all my stuff into the house, and settle in, and then Saturday morning I have to be at the university at 8 O’clock (8 o’clock!!!!) to work at the open day!

Wow, that is going to be tiring I think!

I’ve also got to fit in going to see various people before I leave for uni to say goodbye.

Harry Potter Time TurnerI need one of these time turners from Harry Potter!! (This picture is the key ring I bought when I went to the Harry Potter Studios)

Anyway, must dash – things to do, people to see 🙂

*this seems to be a new favourite word of mine at the moment! (intrigue)

I hope your 2nd year will be easier… it was for me. Because usually, you now know how uni works, what they want, etc and you also know some people to talk to 😉 Hopefully, you’ll have fun although it looks so exhausting 😀 xx

That’s true! I have got a few really great friends in Lancs, so hopefully this year will be easier, even if it is more work. I don’t mind the work though, if I can concentrate, I like studying/learning! I’ll keep you updated! 🙂 xx
